One framework now covers card, UPI and wallet e-mandates. Recurring debits run without extra authentication up to ₹15,000 (₹1 lakh for insurance, mutual funds and credit card bills), with an alert 24 hours before. Card mandates can move to a reissued card.
What it means for you
Subscriptions keep running when a customer’s card is reissued; larger recurring debits still need the customer to authenticate.
