PhonePe in-store UPI fees will start when NPCI sets the date

PhonePe’s fee schedule for in-store merchants lists 0% up to ₹2,000, ₹5 flat for listed categories, 0.02% capped at ₹300 for mutual funds and brokers, and 0.4% capped at ₹300 otherwise. It now starts on NPCI’s notified date instead of 15 Oct 2026.
What it means for you
PhonePe in-store merchants pay these UPI fees only from NPCI’s new start date.
